Who we are
Retro Specialty Contractors has been contracting in British Columbia since 1989. We have over 1500 projects successfully completed amongst many hundreds of clients. We are a 'Specialty Contractor' active in the Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional marketplaces, and have been employed in many Multi-Unit Residential projects and large prestigious Residential Homes.
The company has been at the forefront of many technological construction innovations - from upgrading the fire and blast proof separations in Pulp Mills in the early '90's, through contribution to final resolution of the "Leaky Condo' crisis during that decade, the development of Advanced Composites for Structural Strengthening and Seismic Upgrading (and the protection of our infrastructure should a seismic event occur), and now to specialized Concrete Floor Treatments (RetroPlateTM), and large complex seismic resistant Expansion Joint Installations on bridges and commercial structures.
We have worked on some of the largest projects in BC and are proud to have been part of the construction team (from start to finish) on the BC Place Remediation.
We look forward to future challenges as we build on our success in our civil and structural works department in demand from the resurgent Mining and Industrial sector, at the same time continually improving our approach and service to our existing customer base and traditional construction disciplines.
